Merici Hotel Sittard

The historic charm of the hotel was complemented by a superb breakfast, enhancing my experience. A special touch was the delicious Valentine's chocolate on my pillow, making my stay even more nice.

Great renovated building: beautiful!!!

The bed sleeps OK, but the top mattresses slide away. It would be easy to make this more comfortable.

The stay featured spacious accommodations and excellent natural light. The breakfast included good homemade Majorcan products. The lack of soundproofing was disappointing, as conversations from adjacent rooms could be heard clearly. The incomplete amenities, like missing towels and unclear navigation signs, detracted from the overall experience. Despite these issues, the attractive surroundings and high ceilings provided a pleasant atmosphere.

Silent room, well equipped bathroom and excellent service. Private parking on site provided. Not to mention free wifi! The location in the middle of the city. The hotel next to a cathedral and a monastery...

Hotel had only been opened one week before our visit but everything, well almost everything, was in order. High quality finishings, very stylish, excellent breakfast buffet and all supported by brilliant, welcoming and extremely helpful staff

No restaurant in the building - this is located at a sister hotel, Hotel Luxemburg, 150+ metres away on the main square of Sittard which rules out use of a baby phone

great access to parks and charming attractions nearby

I loved exploring the area, as the hotel is just a few steps from Sint Petruskerk and a short stroll to Stadspark, where I enjoyed the beautiful green spaces during my weekend getaway.

Staff were terrific, and facilities were modern here. Double room was with a private safe and climate control.

Where it excels and where it fails

The staff were friendly and helpful . The junior suite was large and beautifully decorated.

Noise from neighboring rooms was distracting , impacting my ability to relax. Parking arrangements were confusing and could have been clearer .

We really enjoyed the spacious Junior Suite with the relaxing terrace overlooking the park. It was perfect for our small child's playtime! The breakfast was diverse, with fresh options that helped kick-start our adventurous days in Sittard. Plus, the high ceilings.

My children wished for better soundproofing between rooms.

The hotel is a good blend of historical charm and modern luxury, especially being set in a former monastery. The spacious Junior Suite with its beautiful decor and comfortable bedding was an absolute treat. The extravagant breakfast showcased local organic products, enhancing my mornings!

Had an amazing family holiday here! The location in the center of sittard was perfect, just steps from cafes and shops. The spacious, beautifully decorated room was a good surprise.

The staff were friendly , always ready to assist. Breakfast offered a delicious variety of options each morning that catered to all tastes. The view from my room was amazing , allowing me to enjoy the sunset over the city every evening.
